Bob Johnson completed the game without help from the bullpen at Municipal
Stadium as the Kansas City Royals beat the Chicago White Sox by the count of
2 to 1.

Kansas City had 1 run cross the plate in the bottom of the 7th inning.
Chicago went down quietly in the 9th. Johnson(3-3), allowing 1 run for the
game, picked up the victory. Jerry Janeski(2-3) suffered the loss. He
pitched 8 innings allowing only 4 hits and 1 walk.
