Dick Bosman completed the game without help from the bullpen as the Washington
Senators defeated the Kansas City Royals by a score of 6 to 1 at R.F.K.
Stadium.
The game started off with Washington taking the lead in the first scoring 2
runners on 2 hits. That early scoring held up. Washington banged out 11 on
the afternoon.
The winning pitcher was Bosman(4-6) who allowed 1 run for the game. Bill
Butler(2-5) was the losing pitcher. He was unable to control the Washington
offense and allowed 5 hits and 2 walks in 2 and 1/3 innings.
