5/17 @ Chi- doubleheader game 2 -Harder than it should have been-Fiore and Otis nice game in tandem- but KC squandered many run scoring opps- DP's an issue- Ken Wright to close- Cedric get on the phone- as Metro doesn't trust Moe D in saves this year- after being the man in 69

At Comiskey Park, the Chicago fans witnessed a great pitcher's duel. Jim
Rooker(4-1) finally bested his Chicago opposite, Bart Johnson(3-3), by the
score of 3 to 1.

Kansas City came up with 2 runs in the top of the 4th inning. Kansas City had
9 hits for the game and Chicago had 6. Rooker got help from Ken Wright who
was credited with his 1st save. Johnson suffered the loss. Although losing
the contest, he whiffed 8 batters in 5 and 2/3 innings.
