The Kansas City Royals nipped the Minnesota Twins 3 to 2 at Metropolitan
Stadium in a hard fought contest.
Kansas City jumped on top to stay in the 5th inning plating an isolated run.
Minnesota was out-hit by Kansas City, 8 hits to 3.
The win went to Dave Morehead(1-1) who allowed 2 runs in 6 and 2/3 innings.
Moe Drabowsky earned his 4th save. Luis Tiant(0-1) absorbed the loss. 'He
gutted it out' Charlie Metro 19-35 said of Morehead. 'I was very impressed
by his tenacity.'
