Dave McNally allowed just 2 hits as the Baltimore Orioles beat the Kansas City
Royals by a score of 4 to 1.

Baltimore promptly took the lead in their half of the first scoring 2 runs.
Don Buford opened up the inning nicely when he reached on an error. Bill
Butler then picked Buford off first base. Mark Belanger then drew a walk.
Merv Rettenmund followed and he lifted one out of the park for a two run home
run (his 2nd of the season). That scoring would be all that was needed.
Baltimore had only 4 hits for the game.

McNally(5-0) was the winner allowing 1 run for the game. Butler(1-3) was
tagged with the loss. He surrendered 4 runs in 6 and 1/3 innings and saw his
ERA increase from 3.64 to 4.00.
