Alex Johnson had 2 base hits and 2 RBI as the California Angels won at Anaheim
Stadium in dramatic fashion over the Kansas City Royals, the final score, 5
to 4.

The game was won by California with a run in the 9th inning. After two outs
Jim Fregosi delivered a base-hit. Bill Voss stepped into the batter's box
and he drew a walk. Johnson then delivered a single giving California the
win and sending the home town fans into a frenzy. California rapped out 8
hits for the night.

Eddie Fisher(1-0) went 2/3 of an inning allowing no runs for the win. Bob
Johnson(0-1) ended up with the loss in relief. He allowed 2 hits and 1 walk
in 2/3 of an inning.
