1975 Replay

This season is nearing an end- the underated 75 Royals have already clinched division and will likely meet the memorable Red Sox (Reds a monster NL season- maybe greatest team ever)- I will be posting more of these as playoffs start- took me about 2 years to get through season.

Brett hits for cycle and every hit virtually a killer- Hr was a BP not quite robbed to tie game

Third baseman George Brett hit for the cycle and had 5 RBI as the Kansas City
Royals beat the pathetic Texas Rangers in 10 innings by a score of 7 to
6.

The score was tied at 5 after nine. Kansas City came out on top in the 10th
inning. Fred Patek got things going when he tripled. Cookie Rojas was next
and he smacked a single bringing in a run. Brett then hit a single, and an
error was also committed, giving Kansas City the win much to the delight of
the home town crowd. A wild and woolly affair, this game saw the lead change
5 times.

The win went to Mark Littell(3-1) who allowed 1 run in 1 inning. Steve
Foucault(1-2) absorbed the loss in relief. Brett was in a good mood after
the game, 'I'm just seeing and hitting the ball real well now. I made some
adjustments last week and they are paying off. That's what this game is
about. making adjustments as the season goes along.'
